NHL: ‘I’ve been looking for a new direction’

Posted October 01, 2018 06:19:25 The NHL announced today it has acquired loggers and millers to help it build its new lumber processing facility in the St. Louis region.

The new facility will be located in the town of St. Clair, just north of the Mississippi River.

The NHL expects the facility to begin shipping lumber in 2019.

The St. Louis Blues announced today that the club has signed defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, forward Alex Burmistrov and goaltender Andrew Hammond to long-term contracts.

The Blues acquired Burmistrv from the Calgary Flames on March 2, 2019, for a conditional third-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Hammond, 21, signed a one-year contract with the Blues on July 18.

The team also signed defenseman Andrew Bynum, goaltender Eric Krakauer and forward Mark Bickell to long term contracts.
