How to clean up your timber frame

A lumber industry consultant says you need to be more careful with your lumber.

John Wiedeman, president of the New Jersey chapter of the Timber Industry Council, said the industry needs to look at the quality of the lumber that goes into your wood frame, and that includes cutting.

“The timber is the thing that holds your structure together, and the only way to do that is to have it cut, as it should be,” Wiedemans brother, Greg Wiedema, said.

“You want to make sure that you’re doing it in the right way, and if it’s not, it could be a disaster for the lumber company.”

Greg Wiedems brother said the best way to clean out your woodframe is to remove the lumber, not to re-cut it.

“If you cut it, it should stay intact,” he said.

“What is the best method of removing the wood?”

NBC News asked Wiedes about the best ways to clean the wood.

“Cut it off,” Wies said.

Wiedemens brother also said that the best technique for removing lumber is to “put the tree on a table and then take a couple of feet of lumber, and you put the tree down on that table, and then you put it on the ground.”
