Trump to consider blocking access to Timber Processing Companies, a potential blow to U.S. rule of law

Trump is expected to sign an executive order to block access to three companies that are the subject of several lawsuits in federal court, the White House said on Monday.

The orders will require the companies to disclose information on employees’ immigration status, labor rights and privacy practices and to cease activities that harm the U.N. environment, said the Whitehouse, who did not specify which companies.

Trump’s administration has been working on the orders since the U,S.

Senate rejected a bipartisan compromise last month that would have blocked some of the orders.

The Senate vote was a setback for Trump, who had threatened to veto the bill if he were to sign it.
